PROJECT OVERVIEW

Lago Mar is a 2,000-acre master-planned community in the growing Galveston-Clear Lake corridor. The community includes nearly 4,000-home sites, a 70-acre entertainment district, and a 12-acre Crystal Lagoon, which is the largest in Texas and the first with public access. As one of the best-selling master-planned communities in the county, Lago Mar is expected to attract 20,000-residents to the coastal community. Its Crystal Lagoon and entertainment district are also expected to drive tourism and generate $2 billion in taxable revenue.

SERVICE DETAILS

Our team was heavily involved in every aspect of the development. As district engineers, our team designed, surveyed, and managed construction of the development. Our team also dug the lagoon and laid the necessary utilities.

There was tremendous interest in Lago Mar from potential homebuyers. Our team was able to prepare lots fast enough to support the community’s growing demand thanks to the hard work of over 90-team members from five practices in five different offices. Land Tejas also wanted their brand to be well represented – resulting in many land plan changes. Through our collaborative efforts with Texas City staff, our team was still able to complete the project on time.
