PROJECT OVERVIEW

Located minutes from downtown and Memorial Park, the Upper Kirby District sits amidst some of Houston’s most historic and established neighborhoods. The area offers high-end commercial retail, access to fine art, and popular eateries – though it warranted much-needed improvements.

SERVICE DETAILS

Our team worked with the local TIRZ, the Upper Kirby Management District, and the City of Houston to address drainage and mobility issues in the area. Our portion of the project involved reconstructing the roadways from Richmond Avenue to Highway 59 into 3-lanes in both directions. We also added new curbed medians and left-turn bays and realigned sidewalks. Our Hydrology and Hydraulics team also upsized the area’s storm sewer laterals and storm sewer system.
