PROJECT OVERVIEW

Veranda is an 18.1-acre, 362-unit multifamily residential development located along East Ben White Boulevard in Southeast Austin. Developed by Wayfinder Real Estate, the project delivers high-density housing in a major growth corridor while addressing site and infrastructure constraints associated with a highly visible urban location.

The project required careful coordination to manage drainage, utility service, and site access adjacent to a major transportation corridor. These challenges were addressed through comprehensive land planning, detailed stormwater analysis, off-site utility improvements, and coordination with TxDOT to provide safe and functional access.

Completed in February 2024, Veranda expands housing options in Southeast Austin while improving supporting infrastructure and contributing to the long-term functionality and economic vitality of the surrounding area.

SERVICE DETAILS

Civil engineering and land development services were provided from due diligence through construction. Services included platting and entitlements, site civil design, hydrology and hydraulics, utility design and coordination, transportation services, surveying, and construction phase services.

Key technical efforts included stormwater modeling and drainage design to meet City of Austin criteria, onsite & offsite water, wastewater, and storm system designs, and TxDOT driveway permitting along East Ben White Boulevard. Construction phase services supported implementation and ensured compliance with approved plans.
