Beginning in 2022, Quiddity designed a rehabilitation of 6 MGD WWTP 1 (constructed in multiple packages), with the final package set to start construction in 2024. The WWTP 1 rehab included: Rehab of existing headworks including 2-12 MGD mechanical screens; Conversion of 0.7 MGD secondary treatment train to activated sludge including decommissioning existing RBCs; Replacement of fine bubble aeration systems, 9 multi-stage centrifugal blowers, 2-86' diameter Primary clarifier mechanisms, sludge holding tanks, dewatering system (including 2 new belt presses and multiconveyor), air lift sludge conveyance, MCCs throughout the site; and radio communication system with single mode fiber communication network; Conversion of 2 secondary clarifiers and replacement of mechanisms (60' & 80' dia); Modifications to existing lime stabilization sludge treatment system to downgrade treatment from Class A to Class B.

The new WWTP 2 constructed in 2023 included: Activated sludge train, aerobic digesters, gravity thickeners, rotary press sludge dewatering building, NPW pumps, blowers, a detention pond, and expansion of the existing lift station. In addition to the mechanical equipment, process equipment, piping, site development, electrical power and communication infrastructure, the WWTP 2 project included a new operations building designed to serve as an emergency operations center for the District during extreme events.
