The Houston Chronicle’s annual Top Workplaces of 2019 ranked Jones|Carter as the top midsized engineering firm in Houston. This is the third consecutive year our team has been ranked a Top Workplace and the first as the best-midsized engineering company.

Last year our team ranked 28^th on the list of the city’s Top Workplaces. Now, our team ranks 12^th out of the 257 companies competing for recognition. The jump from 28^th to 12^th also earned us the accolade as one of the most improved works places in the Bayou City.

The Houston Chronicle determines the city’s top workplaces based on a “scientific employee survey process” conducted by employee engagement platform Engergage. The company surveys random employees at eligible companies on issues related to workplace culture including confidence in leadership, employee connection and quality of benefits.

Nearly 75,000 employees from 257 companies responded to the survey, but only 150 companies made the cut. The qualifying companies are grouped based on size: large, midsize and small. Each size band includes companies from various sectors such as real estate, government, healthcare and service.
