PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Google Data Center is a 260,000-square-foot facility on a 375-acre tract within Midlothian’s Railport Business Park. The site, which broke ground in June 2019, is the technology company’s second data center in the Lone Star State and 19th in the world. During the June groundbreaking ceremony, Google announced the center is expected to bring at least 50-full-time jobs to Midlothian over the next few years. Once complete, the data center will enhance Google’s ability to provide faster and reliable service for users across the globe.
SERVICE DETAILS
Our team was contracted by the Midlothian Development Authority to prepare civil design construction plans for the relocation of open channel drainage, the construction of an underground reinforced concrete box drainage system and sewer line. Our team coordinated with public utility companies for necessary adjustments and with USACE regarding modification to the existing section 404 individual permit. We also conducted a topographic survey and construction staking for the proposed improvements in addition to construction bidding/administration and inspection in conjunction with the City of Midlothian. FEMA CLOMR/LOMR was also prepared for the channels.
