The summer of 2023 has been an exceptional season for both Quiddity and H-E-B, as we celebrate the successful opening of three new stores and the groundbreaking ceremonies for three additional locations. H-E-B’s unwavering commitment to local engagement and uniquely tailored store designs have not only generated excitement within the communities they serve but have also made our partnership with H-E-B a rewarding and fulfilling experience for the Quiddity team.
Quiddity has recently attended several H-E-B store grand openings in central Texas including store locations Leander 02, Georgetown 01, and Austin 33. These have been exciting developments to be a part of due to the strong community-centric approach H-E-B maintains.
The grand opening of store location Austin 33, also known as “Nutty Brown,” holds a unique historical significance as it integrates an old music venue, the Nutty Brown Café & Amphitheatre, into its physical identity. The store is being built on the site where the venue once hosted numerous country music artists. H-E-B wanted to honor this history and has incorporated salvaged bricks from the venue’s traditional brick pizza oven over its 20+ year history into the primary customer entry. Inside, customers can appreciate 8 signed guitars on display from past artists who performed at the venue. While this site holds a particularly unique historical significance, H-E-B’s other stores are always designed with great attention to detail and focus on the local community surrounding them.
Additionally, our team has participated in several H-E-B store groundbreakings, including store locations such as Pflugerville 03, Katy Park, and Austin 08.
The Austin 08 location was Quiddity’s first multi-story build endeavor with H-E-B, making this groundbreaking event an exciting occasion for our team. Despite being a well-established store for many years, the exponential growth of Austin necessitated expansion. Once the team determined a horizontal expansion was not feasible for this location, building vertically allowed H-E-B to efficiently maximize the space to better serve this busy community. This store will embrace the city’s vibrant and modern vibe by collaborating with a local artist to create an impressive mural covering an entire exterior wall, stretching from the ground to the building’s roof. A True Texas BBQ store will also be introduced at this location, offering an inviting outside seating area.
H-E-B’s community-oriented approach is evident in their store designs tailored to each region and neighborhood they serve, Quiddity is proud to partner with H-E-B to expand across Texas, create unique and thoughtful developments, and add valuable amenities to the communities where we live and work.
