Quiddity Engineering is pleased to announce that Juan Chavira, PE, PMP, has joined the firm as a Senior Client Manager, with the responsibility of meeting the ever-expanding infrastructure requirements of cities and counties across Texas. He is also forging the way in growing the Federal Program and federal contracting opportunities, leveraging the superb capabilities of Quiddity’s professionals.
Juan brings more than 30 years of professional experience to Quiddity, last serving as Assistant Director for Houston Public Work’s (HPW) Capital Projects Service Line, leading a team of over 90 professionals in delivering over 175 projects on the City’s Adopted Five Year Capital Improvement Plan through a spectrum that included cradle-to-grave project development, planning, engineering design and construction through in-depth pre-engineering analysis, preliminary engineering reports, packaging and awarding Professional Services engineering contracts, producing 100% Construction Documents and specifications ready for Construction Bid and subsequent award.
Prior to Houston Public Works, Juan spent 25 years in the U.S. Navy where he served as a Civil Engineer Corps Officer, specifically as a leader within global Public Works Departments, acquisitions and contracts, and strategic and operational planning. He also led expeditionary Naval Construction Force Seabees in austere, overseas environments.
Juan received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
