The Canyons development is a private gated community comprised of single-family custom homes with lots averaging from 0.5 to 1.5 acres. The dramatic topography of Texas Hill Country took very specific expertise to navigate.
We provided land planning and engineering designs developed to preserve the natural characteristics and beauty of the land. The roadways between the lots were designed with a larger than the normal radius, which allows drivers to take in the views of the hills and the City of San Antonio safely.
Our team also developed the project’s land plan and provided all subdivision planting. The project had an emphasis on maximizing the value of the lots through design. By accentuating the features of every lot, the team was able to preserve the natural beauty and scenic topography while catering to the unique characteristics of each specific lot.
The Canyons initially started with approximately 300-acres of land. With the acquisition of additional land in 2015 and 2017, the site grew to more than 1,000-acres. Prior to the acquisition of the additional acreage, we designed the development while planning for potential future expansions while still maximizing the natural surroundings.
