PROJECT OVERVIEW
SERVICE DETAILS
In partnership with the Harris County Toll Road Authority and their project management team, Quiddity provided traffic engineering and multimodal transportation planning services for a 12-mile stretch of the Sam Houston Tollway corridor, extending from US to 90 and down to West Park Tollway. This segment, with over 150,000 vehicles daily and being the most congested and heavily traveled part of the Sam Houston Tollway, stands out as a project of regional significance for both Houston and Quiddity. The sheer volume of daily users highlights its importance, and our recommendations aim to ensure the future safe travel along this corridor.
Quiddity went beyond HCTRA’s jurisdictional boundaries, considering TxDOT frontage roads supporting Sam Houston, City of Houston thoroughfares, and exploring multimodal options like bus rapid transit, pedestrian facilities, and bicycle facilities.
