PROJECT OVERVIEW

The City of Roanoke is located north of Fort Worth in Denton County. Over the last several years, Roanoke has experienced increases in its population and tax base, which has spurred an interest in redeveloping Downtown Roanoke. To provide the desired vehicle and pedestrian mobility for local business and festival activities, the city identified that significant updates were needed along Lamar Street and Bowie Street.

SERVICE DETAILS

Our team prepared preliminary design plans for both Lamar and Bowie Streets. The project included the reconstruction and widening of the pavement to include on-street parking, new sidewalks and pedestrian ramps, updated drainage facilities, and the replacement of water and sewer lines. Additionally, there were multiple privately owned utilities within the project corridor that required significant coordination.
