Stormwater, Watershed, and Receiving Water Quality Modeling, a manual co-authored by Hydrology & Hydraulics expert Aiza Jose, PE, PhD, was published by the Water Environment Federation (WEF) in late February.

Aiza was selected from a group of stormwater experts to write the manual’s first chapter, which offers a synopsis of the guide and motivations behind its creation. The peerreviewed manual is intended for professional stormwater practitioners with expertise in stormwater quality modeling

Before the manual’s release, many members of WEF’s Stormwater and Watershed Committees were referencing a modeling guide that was nearly 20 years old. Though basic theories presented in the previous manual remain applicable to today’s stormwater industry, changes in technology and permitting requirements warranted an update.

Stormwater, Watershed, and Receiving Water Quality Modeling takes a “past, present and future” look at stormwater quality modeling. The six-chapter guide covers topics such as evolutions of the practice, current models and the future of stormwater quality modeling.

The manual is currently on sale and can be purchased here
