Quiddity began working on the Cantarra Apartments, a 327-unit wrap style multifamily development for Journeyman Group in 2022. The project is in the City of Austin ETJ, where the permitting process can be rigorous. On average, it takes 16 months to receive a site development permit and 4-6 rounds of reviews from the City.
Permitting began in May 2022 and will wrap up in June 2023. Our team was able to complete the permitting process in 13 months, beating the industry average by 20%. We also narrowed the review rounds down to two updates. We can attribute this to our team’s stringent quality standards and communication, along with well-established relationships with reviewing entities. This process ensures we are aware of what reviewers are looking for, allowing us to prepare compliant submittals in fewer attempts on an efficient schedule.
