Bagby Street Improvement Project
Our team is working alongside the DRA/TIRZ No. 3 to lead the final design effort for the complete reconstruction of Bagby Street from I-45 to Franklin Street. It is a popular corridor for pedestrians with many local attractions including Sam Houston Park, Tranquility Park, the Hobby City and Houston City Hall. With such a large volume of pedestrians in the area, the Downtown Redevelopment Authority (DRA)/ TIRZ No. 3 developed an improvement project that focuses on the safety of those on foot and behind the wheel.

Buffalo Bayou Park Slope Stabilization & Bench Sediment Removal
The Buffalo Bayou Park is a 160-acre green space in Downtown Houston nestled along the Buffalo Bayou. The park experienced an unusually large amount of damage between 2015 and 2017. Harvey caused extensive damage to the bayou’s banks and structures. The HCFCD selected our team to act as design engineers for the three-phase improvement project. Through natural stream restoration, we removed existing sediment along the bayou, stabilized slope failures and installed prevention measures to stop future erosion while still preserving the bayou in it’s original state.
