PROJECT OVERVIEW
The City of Houston is on a mission to become a safer, more accessible, gold-level bike-friendly city by 2027. In 2018, Commissioner Rodney Ellis and Mayor Sylvester Turner entered a city-county partnership to connect neighborhoods and city attractions through a safe bicycle network. As part of the initiative, Commissioner Ellis pledged $10 million to jump-start the construction of opportunities in the Houston Bike Plan.
