Miles Under Construction
The City of Houston is on a mission to become a safer, more accessible, gold-level bike-friendly city by 2027. In 2018, Commissioner Rodney Ellis and Mayor Sylvester Turner entered a city-county partnership to connect neighborhoods and city attractions through a safe bicycle network. As part of the initiative, Commissioner Ellis pledged $10 million to jump-start the construction of opportunities in the Houston Bike Plan.
Our team is providing program management services to support the joint county/city initiative including project planning and scheduling, tracking of the program budget, and development of design criteria and standards. We are also providing coordination between Harris County, the City of Houston, TxDOT, METRO, and the Harris County Toll Road Authority.
More than 14-miles of bike lanes have been completed since early 2020.
