PROJECT OVERVIEW
The State of Texas is on a mission to revamp the state capitol complex. Updated biennially, the Texas Capitol Master Plan strives to meet state office space needs, highlight the importance of the state capitol, and create a pedestrian-friendly environment.
SERVICE DETAILS
Our team is working alongside Kirksey Architecture on Phase One of the State of Texas Capitol Complex 2018 Master Plan, which includes two new buildings, five levels of underground parking, and three blocks for a new pedestrian mall on Congress Avenue.
We are providing site civil services for the project’s new pedestrian mall, a tree-lined promenade and the new parking garage, which is estimated to hold up to 4,4000 vehicles and serve as the foundation for the new pedestrian mall. Our team is also overseeing the garage’s entry ramps design and civil services for right-of-way improvements around the Texas Capitol Complex.
Various utilities beneath the streets must be maintained or the equivalent service made available before the utilities are taken offline. To ensure this, our team is coordinating all necessary utility relocations, including water, wastewater, drainage, gas, electrical, and communication.
The Texas Capitol Complex is projected to be completed in 2022.
