DURATION 3 minute read
This year’s ENR Texas and Louisiana contest consisted of 131 entries – the most of any of ENR’s 10 regional contests. Of the projects, a panel of judges selected 18 Best Projects and 23 Awards of Merit across 19 different categories. Projects were selected based on six judging criteria, including innovation and contribution to the industry/community, construction quality and craftsmanship, function and aesthetic quality of the design, safety, overcoming challenges and teamwork, and the overall project.
We are proud to have been able to work with each of these project teams. These awards would not be possible without their hard work and dedication to improving the communities where we live and work.
The bike park received an award of merit in the landscape/urban development category. Our team served as the program and construction manager for the 22-acre park, and we are excited to announce the park’s recognition for its innovative design and impact on the local community. Our team will be recognized for their work on the Rockstar Energy Bike Park during an award ceremony on October 23rd.
The SXSW Center entry was submitted by the project’s architect, Pei Cobb Freed & Partners Architects LLP and received an award of merit in the office/retail/mixed-use category. Our team provided site civil design services for the SXSW Center and would like to congratulate the project team on this award! American Airlines Headquarters was submitted by Structure Tone Southwest and won Best Project for interior/tenant improvements. Our engineers are proud to have worked with this project team providing traffic services for the site and would like to congratulate the Structure Tone Southwest team on their project award.
