PROJECT OVERVIEW
Balmoral is a 750-acre master-planned lakeside community in Humble, Texas. The community includes more than 2,500-single-family lots and one of the first Crystal Lagoons in Texas. Balmoral’s prime location offers residents easy access to downtown Houston and Generation Park, a 4,000-acre mixed-use development.
SERVICE DETAILS
Our team has been the engineer for this development since its inception. In this role, we are responsible for the planning, surveying, and engineer of the development. Due to the overwhelming demand for lots, we were tasked to deliver the 2,500-lots in just 5-years. In a collaborative effort by many members of our team, we were able to meet the schedule and deliver the lots on time.
During early development, one of the biggest challenges was a nearby rail line. Our engineers were able to design a large storm sewer pipe underneath an active railroad track. They worked closely with Union Pacific Railroad to ensure that the railway was safe for the train while still satisfying the client and delivering the project on time and on budget.
